DANTON'S DEN
In
recent years I find myself spending more and more time exploring the Burroughs
family treasures in our Tarzana archives.
Throughout
the 20th century, my grandfather Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzana estate became
a repository for generations of family collectibles, mementos, documents,
journals, books, photos, art, manuscripts, letters, and heirlooms.
The
task of sorting and documenting this immense trove has fallen to me, and
each day yields exciting rarities.
I
am constantly amazed and humbled by the fertile imaginations and wide range
of interests and accomplishments displayed by my Burroughs forebears: my
grandparents Ed and Emma, my parents John Coleman and Jane, uncle Hulbert,
aunt Joan, uncle Jim Pierce, Studley, Florence, Mary, George, Harry, Frank,
Major George, et al.
I
invite you to return to our ERB, Inc. sites often where I will regularly
share some of the more unusual items from the Burroughs Family Archive
